Getting Started

Wallet Setup

Adding Arc Testnet to MetaMask or any EVM wallet takes about 60 seconds.

MetaMask β€” Manual Setup

1
Open MetaMask β†’ Networks β†’ Add Network
Click the network selector at the top of MetaMask β†’ "Add network" β†’ "Add a network manually".
2
Enter these exact values
Network name: Arc Testnet
New RPC URL: https://rpc.testnet.arc.network
Chain ID: 5042002
Currency symbol: USDC
Block explorer URL: https://testnet.arcscan.app
3
Save and switch
Click Save. MetaMask will switch to Arc Testnet. You will see "USDC" as the currency symbol in your wallet.
4
Get testnet USDC from the faucet
Visit faucet.circle.com to request free testnet USDC. This single token covers both gas fees and purchases on Arc.
πŸ’΅
USDC is the only token you needArc uses USDC as its native gas token. Unlike Ethereum where you need ETH for gas regardless of what you are trading, Arc means one dollar-stable asset covers everything: buying NFTs, minting, listing, and paying transaction fees.

Alternative RPC Providers

If the default RPC is slow or unreliable for you, several third-party providers support Arc Testnet with better uptime or WebSocket support:

  • QuickNode β€” arc testnet endpoint available on their dashboard
  • dRPC β€” supports Arc Testnet with WebSocket endpoints
  • Blockdaemon β€” enterprise-grade Arc RPC

The Chain ID (5042002) remains the same across all providers β€” only the RPC URL changes.

Supported Wallets

Any EVM-compatible wallet works with Arc. ArcaneFi uses Privy for authentication which supports:

  • MetaMask β€” browser extension and mobile
  • Coinbase Wallet β€” browser extension and mobile
  • WalletConnect β€” any wallet supporting the WalletConnect protocol
  • Embedded wallet β€” Privy can create a wallet for you using email login
ℹ️
First time with crypto? If you are new to Web3, Privy's embedded wallet option lets you log in with email and creates a wallet for you automatically β€” no MetaMask required. You can always export the private key later.
